I have a candidate I would like to offer a position to but they do not have long term work rights can you help?
Yes, there are two possible visa options that Geoffrey Nathan Consulting Inc can assist with, one being a 457 visa the other via the Employer Nominated Scheme.
Who would be the candidate’s employer?
Geoffrey Nathan Consulting Inc would become the employer; we would on hire the candidate to your business to perform the services you require.
Would I have any obligations to the Department of Immigration and Citizenship?
No, Geoffrey Nathan Consulting Inc would be your candidates sponsor and would hold all the obligations under the 457 visa or Employer Nominated Scheme.
Is my candidate eligible for a 457 visa or ENS through Geoffrey Nathan Consulting Inc?
457 visa and ENS eligibility requirements are similar
- Candidate must have a full time/permanent job offer or a contract in excess of 12 months
- Candidate’s occupation must be listed on our Labour Agreement or listed on the Department of Immigration and Citizenship Employer Nomination Scheme List (link to DIAC listing)
- Candidate must have over 5 years experience or a relevant degree
- Candidate’s salary must for a 457 visa be a minimum of $75,000 plus superannuation for a non IT role, for an IT role the salary must be a minimum of $80,000 plus superannuation. For an ENS the salary requirement is a minimum of $65,000 plus superannuation for a non IT role, for an IT role the salary must be a minimum of $75,000 plus superannuation.
What costs are involved for my business?
There is no upfront cost.. There is a client charge which is invoiced at the same time as the salary and is based on the candidate’s salary plus superannuation. This client charge covers employer associated costs such as payroll tax, workers compensation, professional indemnity and public liability insurances.
How long does it take for a candidate to be able to work for me?
This is subject to the Department of Immigration and Citizenship processing times.
